Did Not Attend Policy
This practice has a strict policy regarding patients who do not contact the surgery in advance to cancel or change appointments and who simply Do not attend (DNA).
Therefore patients will be removed from the Practice list if they Do not attend for three appointments within a 12 month period.
Missed appointments result in:
1. Increased waiting time for appointments
2. Frustration for both staff and other patients
3. Are a waste to resources
Please ensure you keep your appointments or cancel if you are unable to attend. If you are late for your appointment, you may be asked to make an alternative appointment.
New patients
Please be aware if you fail to attend your new patient health check you will not be taken on as a patient at this practice.

GP Earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Scawsby Health Centre in the last financial year (2021/22) was £191,644 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
Named Accountable GP for All Patients
From the 1st April 2015, practices are required under the GP contract to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients (including children).
Based on clinical judgement the named accountable GP will take responsibility for the co-ordination of all services where required under the NHS GP contract and ensure that they are delivered to each of their patients.
If you wish to know who your named accountable GP is please ask at Reception or telephone 010302 782208.
